         TREATMENT:

Individuals who abuse alcohol, drugs and gambling endanger themselves and others, often without knowing it. Over time, significant relationships with their family and friends break down. Many people seeking recovery are so overwhelmed by their problems that they cannot take the first steps necessary for sobriety. This is why the treatment process often begins with a call from a family member, employer, or school.

The initial assessment of the client’s status is conducted by a thoroughly experienced, certified addiction counselor. In this meeting, treatment needs are established and an appropriate recommendation is made. If detoxification is indicated, an outpatient detoxification schedule will be started, or if necessary, the client is referred for inpatient treatment.  Candidates for SAFE’s outpatient treatment programs are those who do not require medically supervised detoxification or stabilization; have stable mental and physical health; have had few if any prior treatment experiences; and have a supportive home and work environment.

In SAFE’s treatment program, a client receives counseling, education, and an individualized treatment plan from SAFE’s staff of certified addiction counselors, master’s level addiction counselors, licensed mental health professionals, and our in-house medical director. With this network of support and guidance, the client is able to focus on recovery and be equipped with the proper tools to lead a stable and successful life.
